My interest in photography concentrates on film photography and printmaking using alternative processes: gum bichromate, Van Dyke Brown and cyanotype. At the time of all-encompassing digital, this is a return to a picture as a physical object crafted by means of historical processes invented by the masters of photography. Although I don't limit myself to analog by staying away from modern technologies - as I use digital negatives and sometimes make prints from digital camera images, - in my works the emphasis is made on hand production and dimroon manipulations. My favorite process is gum bichromate, slow, capricious and versatile.
I live in Moscow, Russia.
